The wedding will take place on the 3rd of March of 2024 in Praya Palazzo Hotel, in Bangkok
The Praya Palazzo building dates back to 1923, when it was built as the residence of Praya Chollabhumipanish (a tax officer), his wife and their 10 children with Italian architectural influences. Now the building is a boutique hotel and award-winning restaurant.

The Praya Palazzo Hotel is only accessible by boat from the opposite bank of the river (either Phra Arthit (N13) pier or Wat Rachathiwat Pier (Parking)). It is free and it will be prearranged for you, shuttles leave every 20-30 minutes.
Complimentary car parking is readily available at Wat Rachathiwat Pier (Soi Samsen 9), but be careful it closes at 10pm! Pay-per-hour car parking is also available at THB 50/hour near Tha Phra Athit Pier.
You can ask your taxi driver to drop you off at Phra Arthit (N13) pier or Wat Rachathiwat Pier (Parking) to take the shuttle boat. Make sure you check out the advice on taking taxis in the Travel Advice page.
Unfortunately getting to the hotel by public transport is not easy. If that's your only option, why not take the MRT to Sanam Chai and jump on the Chao Praya Express Boat Orange Line to Phra Arthit (N13)? Includes a nice view!
Flights
There are many flights from Europe to Bangkok. You can choose to buy direct or with a stopover somewhere in Europe, the middle East or far East Asia. Average flights will cost around £600-£700 per person (a bit more if direct). If you find something cheaper than that, grab it while you can!
Flights are usually cheapest mid week (avoiding weekends) and bought 2 to 3 months before the planned travel date. Buying flights very early is not always the best option.
Weather
It's hot. No getting around that! Be prepared to sweat and take breaks from time to time in air conditioning shops. It can rain quite heavily but it usually passes quickly.
Getting Around Town
Bangkok is a modern city with multiple ways to move around. The most convenient are:
Day Trips
Our day trip recommendations:
There are countless of options to stay in Bangkok, hotels are generally cheap and have higher standards than in Europe. A few areas that are popular and well connected to the sky train and/or subway are:
Bangkok is generally safe. However, there are some areas that might not be too family and kids friendly, specially at night time. Even if hotels look cheap and nice, try to avoid staying around Soi Nana/Sukhumvit 4, Soi Patpong, and Soi Cowboy.
Our wedding venue is located on the opposite side of Old Town Bangkok, the area is surrounded by old temples, old buildings and the Grand Palace. Here are recommended hotels in this area which are close to Phra Arthit pier in which the boat from our hotel will be waiting for you. Some are in a walking distance from the pier.
